Wastewater Service Technician

Jet Waste & Water is based on Auckland's North Shore and specialises in servicing Wastewater Treatment Systems. We are looking for a wastewater service technician to join our team.

If you enjoy working outside, not afraid of hard work, physically fit and can work as an individual or as a team this job could be for you. We service wastewater systems throughout the wider Auckland region, as far north as Matakana down to Pukekohe, and out to Waiheke Island once a week.

We offer:

• A full time, permanent position
• Up to 45hrs per week Monday - Friday, with on call weekend work (1 in 4)
• Initially working with an experienced technician
• Pay rate $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience
• All PPE supplied
• Chance to enjoy working outdoors in our beautiful rural areas

Job includes:

• Using an on-line database to plan jobs, route planning
• Driving around the Auckland region to sites
• Regular scheduled servicing of domestic and commercial wastewater systems
• Responding to callouts to wastewater systems
• Replacement of mechanical items if required
• Cleaning wastewater filters and mechanical parts
• Flushing disposal fields, sometimes on steep, bush covered ground
• Digging and laying disposal fields
• Completing reports online
• Being on call 1 in every 4 weekends

• Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Customer service orientated
• Able to work in well with other team members
• A full, clean, driver's licence - must have
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Have a logical approach to problem solving
