Heavy Diesel Mechanic Wanted – Come Get Your Hands Dirty (In a Good Way)
Drill Force kicked off back in 2008 and hasn’t stopped drilling holes (professionally) since. We’re one of New Zealand’s most diversified drilling contractors, running everything from helicopter-portable rigs to barge, truck, and track-mounted gear. If it drills, we probably own it.
Now we’re on the hunt for a legendary Heavy Diesel Mechanic who knows their way around tools and isn’t afraid of a bit of mud, grease, or travel.

What we’re looking for:
- Can speak English clearly (swearing optional, clarity required)
- Own hand tools (you know the drill)
- Drug-free – pre-employment & random testing applies
- Qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel / Automotive Truck Mechanic
- Full Class 1 licence (Class 2–5 = gold star)
- Keen, motivated, and ready to learn
- Quality-focused – “no breakdowns” is the dream
- Safety-first mindset
- Happy to work 50+ hours a week (overtime available)
- Can work on-site, off-site, and without someone holding your hand
- Team player, punctual, and shows initiative
- Must be living in NZ and be a citizen or permanent resident
