About the role We're seeking skilled Telecommunications Technicians to support commercial fibre, copper, and data network installation and maintenance across the Bay of Plenty and Hamilton for various clients. You'll work across varied sites, performing hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality service.

Duties
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot fibre, copper, data, and voice networks
- Perform fibre fault-finding, blowing, splicing, jointing, ONT installs, and router setup
- Conduct LAN/WiFi/Data/Voice installations, UTP cabling, termination, and testing
- Install low-voltage systems: CCTV, access control, fire, nurse call, security
- Carry out civil works: conduit installation, trenching, reinstatement, pathways
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, site plans, and network documentation
- Prepare as-builts and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain strong customer service and uphold safety requirements at all times
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a telecommunications Technician (fibre/copper/data)
- Strong understanding of network equipment (routers, switches, APs, UPS, IP devices)
- Experience in commercial installations, low-voltage, and pathway systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Site Safe (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid working rights in NZ
- Full NZ Driver's Licence
