Are you an experienced Dairy Service Technician with an electrical or engineering background who enjoys being hands-on and solving problems on farms? This role provides a unique opportunity to lead the establishment of a new Canterbury based dairy services division within a well-respected electrical company, where Dairy Service Technician experience is essential.

The Role:
After sustained demand and ongoing success in the industry, our long-term and trusted client is expanding their dairy automation/installation team. Every day offers something different, from installing systems and configuring drafting gates to troubleshooting pneumatic valves, electrical components, or network issues.
You'll work both independently and alongside a supportive technical team, providing installation, maintenance, breakdown support, and customer training for an established network of dairy clients. To be considered for this role we are looking for someone with an engineering background as well as electrical/wiring knowledge.
The business already has secured contracts and have a successful, well established technician team operating down south, they are now looking to build out a strong team to replicate that proven success here in Canterbury. You will be working closely with farmers and tackling problems keeping New Zealand's dairy industry on track.
What we are looking for:
- New Zealand recognised qualification in electrical, automation, engineering, or agricultural technology
- Minimum two years experience with dairy automation, agricultural systems, or technical field service
- Willingness to travel throughout Canterbury and participate in an on-call rotation
- Full New Zealand driver's license
- Great time management and customer service skills
