Electronics Technician

EVs Enhanced is a Christchurch based company which specialises in upgrades, service and repair for electric vehicles.

We have developed repair procedures to address a number of common failures of electronic parts which are either prohibitively expensive to buy new or difficult to source as good used parts. While these procedures are generally already well refined and documented, we need a skilled technician to complete these repairs in a volume required to keep up with demand.

In this role you'll work directly with our engineers to learn our existing repair procedures and help to develop new ones.

You’ll ideally have:

• A solid background in fundamental electronics theory and experience repairing electronics or computer hardware
• Excellent hand soldering skills and surface mount rework experience
• Experience using diagnostics equipment such as oscilloscopes and automotive scan tools
• At least a hobbyist level background in either programming embedded micro-controllers or building personal computers from components to a finished system with installed software
• The ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining strong attention to detail
• An aptitude to learn and retain technical concepts
