Description
This role involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy vehicles to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
*Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on diesel engines and heavy vehicles *Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections *Repair and replace worn or defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems *Conduct vehicle diagnostics using appropriate tools and equipment *Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations *Maintain accurate service records and documentation *Work collaboratively with operations staff to minimise downtime
Requirements:
*At least 3 years of relevant work experience, OR A relevant Level 4 qualification in automotive/diesel mechanics or mechanical or relevant field *Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and diagnostics *Ability to work independently and as part of a team *Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail *Willingness to work flexible hours if required
Additional Information: *This role may require occasional overtime depending on operational needs *Applicants must be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks *Working hours are spreaded over Mon to Saturday between 9AM to 6PM *Pay Rate: $28 to $35 depending on experience and skills *Min 30 hours per week to max 50 hours pwer week
