Pest Control Service Technician | Nelson

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with rotating weekend shifts and flexible start times. You’ll oversee a diverse client portfolio throughout Nelson, with regular travel to Motueka to keep things interesting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep your vehicle mission-ready each day by efficiently loading, unloading, and maintaining all equipment needed for your scheduled jobs.
• Carry out detailed inspections at commercial and residential sites to detect pest activity and plan the right treatments.
• Apply effective pest solutions and give customers practical, expert advice on prevention and long-term protection.
• Spot hygiene and environmental risks to help create safer, healthier workplaces and homes for our clients.
• Complete accurate digital service reports after every visit, ensuring clear documentation and tailored recommendations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional approach at every job.
• Stay alert to customer needs and identify opportunities to offer additional services that genuinely add value.

A Successful candidate will have:

• A full New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• A clean criminal record
• Currently living in Nelson, New Zealand
• A genuine love for the outdoors and our local environments
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain and grow client relationships
• A safety-first mindset and the ability to follow strict and evolving health & safety procedures
• Confidence using an Android mobile phone and related apps
• Comfortable working independently in the field, while also having a “one team” mindset
• Willingness to travel long distances from Nelson and stay away overnight when required
• Being physically strong and able, comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Previous knowledge of pest control methods and regulations.
• New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations (Level 3) Urban Pest Control
• Working at Heights and EWP licences and experience.
• Current NZ Firearm License
• Ability to drive manual vehicle
