Electrical & Refrigeration Service Technician

We are seeking an qualified Electrical Service Technician / Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Nelson. This is a full-time position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical equipment and Commercial Refrigeration.

What you'll be doing: Diagnose, repair, install and maintain commercial and industrial Electrical Equipment and Systems - examples : Commericial Glasswashers, Dishwashers, Ovens, Kitchen Appliances, Lighting, Commercial Refrigeration, HVAC and Ice Machines, etc. Perform preventive maintenance on commercial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot issues to restore system operation. Comply with all relevant safety regulations and best practices. Maintain detailed records of all work performed. Collaborate with the wider team to provide exceptional customer service.

What we're looking for: Qualification - Electrical Service Technician Licence (EST) Qualification - Refrigeration Technician Experience (2+ years) preferably in a commercial or industrial setting Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial electrical equipment and refrigeration. Strong understanding of Electrical principles Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and suppliers
