Fire Alarm Tester/Installer
NME Fire Systems Ltd is a company that specialises in the installation and servicing of fire alarm systems in the Nelson and Marlborough regions.
We have a full-time position available for an enthusiastic, practically minded, hands-on person to carry out monthly testing of fire alarm systems, and to assist with the installation of fire alarm systems. Previous fire alarm experience is not required; however some other type of previous wire trade experience or construction site experience would be beneficial.
On the job training will be provided. Within six months of employment, we would expect the successful applicant to enrol and begin training toward a level 3 industry qualification as a minimum. Further training to earn a level 4 qualification would be encouraged if the successful applicant shows the necessary skills and commitment to build a career in the Fire Protection industry.
Applicants must have a tidy appearance and have a friendly and cooperative manner. Other requirements are as follows –
Applicants must
- live in the Nelson region
- possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
- hold a clean, full driver licence
- be able to pass Police vetting when required
- have New Zealand Residency
