The Opportunity:

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you’ll support customers across the Invercargill/Southland region, working on Komatsu mobile plant equipment in the field.
You’ll take ownership of your day, heading straight to site from home, managing your own workload, and building strong customer relationships. With consistent demand across the region, you’ll enjoy job stability, technical variety, and clear pathways to grow your career within Komatsu both locally and globally.
Importantly, you don’t need prior mobile plant experience.
If you come from a road transport or heavy commercial background (trucks, buses, trailers), Komatsu will support your transition with structured training and hands-on development.
Role Located: Invercargill Roster / Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm

What we are looking for:
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel / Heavy Vehicle / Automotive Mechanic
- Experience across trucks, buses, trailers OR mobile plant equipment
- Strong diagnostic and repair capability
- Ability to work independently and manage your day
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer focus
- Class 1 licence (Class 2 advantageous)
