We’re looking for a motivated Fibre & Data Technician to join our growing team and support major telecommunications projects across Waikato. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality workmanship, and want to be part of a fast-moving industry, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a full time permanent position with working hours hours ranging from 30-40 per week with additional work every second weekend. You will be provided with a base salary plus a bonus depending on your speed, efficiency and achieving your KPI's in a timely manner.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fibre splicing and blowing
• Installing fibre in residential and commercial properties
• Performing fibre maintenance and repairs
• Installing aerial and underground fibre cables
• Using specialized technical equipment
• Interpreting and implementing network design documents for large NZ rollouts
• Locating, testing, diagnosing, and repairing faults using power meters and probes

The right person will have the following skills:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• An understanding of Telecommunications or trade service skills (essential but not required)
• Ability to do physical work
