Rope Access Technician – Experienced IRATA Level 1 or Level 2

Connect Access is looking for an experiencedIRATA Level 1 or Level 2 Rope Access Technicianto join our team.
We’re looking for someone who ishonest, reliable, keen to learn, and enjoys solving problems on the go. Someone who works well in a small team, communicates openly, and brings a positive approach to the day-to-day challenges that come with site work.
Skills matter, but for us the right attitude, work ethic, and team fit come first.
At Connect Access, we specialise in commercial and industrial rope access maintenance across New Zealand, including façade maintenance, painting, sealing, window cleaning, corrosion protection systems, anchor installations, and technical access support.
About the role
You’ll be working across commercial and industrial sites delivering a variety of rope access tasks, including:
- Building washing and window cleaning
- Joint sealing, leak repairs, painting, and façade maintenance
- Corrosion wrapping and protective coating systems (training provided)
- Anchor installations and inspections
- General building maintenance at height
- Safe and efficient rope access work
- Work based primarily in Hamilton, with occasional Auckland and Tauranga projects
What we’re looking for
- Current IRATA Level 1 (with strong site experience) or IRATA Level 2
- Great attitude is essential
- Honest, trustworthy, and reliable
- Keen learner who wants to continue developing trade and rope access skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and practical site thinking
- Someone who can push through day-to-day site challenges to get it done
- Able to work well in a small team and take initiative on site
- Strong trade skills in maintenance, sealing, painting, washing, or repairs
- Strong communication and safety mindset
- Full driver’s licence and confidence driving company vehicles
- Willingness to travel when required
- painting skills
- MEWP, work at heights , confined space tickets preferred but not essential
