Description

As a Telecommunications Service Technician, you'll work hands-on in the field installing, servicing, fault-finding and commissioning critical telecommunications infrastructure. This role suits someone safety-focused, technically capable and proud of quality work. You'll be supported by experienced managers, strong systems and a collaborative team, with ongoing training and clear long-term career pathways in essential services.

The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa

We're looking for a hands-on Telecommunications Service Technician to join our Energy & Utilities team. You'll work in the field installing, servicing, fault‑finding and commissioning telecommunications infrastructure that keeps communities connected.

Safety, quality and customer service are at the heart of everything you do, and you'll be supported by experienced leaders, strong systems and a team that looks out for one another.

What We're Looking For | Ngā pūkenga matua

We're seeking a motivated, safety‑focused telecommunications professional with strong technical capability and a solutions‑driven mindset. You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in telecommunications (mobile, electrical or similar)
  • NZQA Level 3 Telecommunications or equivalent (preferred)
  • Strong fault‑finding skills and experience using test equipment
  • A genuine commitment to Zero Harm and safe work practices
  • Clear communication skills and pride in delivering quality work
  • A full New Zealand Driver Licence
