This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week with a remuneration range between $78,170 to $105,760 (including KiwiSaver). Appointment remuneration will be dependent on qualification and practical experience.
The opportunity
As an Operations Technician you will carry out the day-to-day operations that result in the production and delivery of safe drinking water. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to continue learning, training and develop a career in the progressive water sector. You will be supported by a great team who are passionate about what they do and work across a variety of treatment plants and learn about different treatment methodologies. To enable you to travel across sites you will have access to a work vehicle.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Ideally experience in treatment plant operations or similar industry
- Exposure to working on an on-call roster or shift basis
- Working history in a collective and collaborative environment
- An ability to be adaptable to varying tasks and priorities
- The aptitude and interest in gaining additional qualifications (mandatory for National Certificate in water treatment).
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
It would be advantageous to have a National Certificate in water treatment, National Diploma in water treatment or mechanical / electrical trade experience.
