Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Wellington

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a solid, long-term operation based in Wellington. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping plant and equipment running reliably.

The Role ■ Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and machinery ■ Fault finding on mechanical (and basic electrical) equipment ■ Using workshop tools including welding, lathe and mill/drill ■ Coordinating and supervising subcontractors when required ■ Completing inspections and maintenance reporting ■ Participating in an on-call roster ■ Working safely and following established procedures

What You’ll Need ■ Mechanical trade qualification ■ Strong hands-on maintenance experience (industrial environment) ■ Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills ■ Ability to work independently and as part of a team ■ Solid attitude, reliable work ethic, and focus on safety ■ Basic computer skills
