Fire Sprinkler Technician – Wellington Installs Team | Immediate Start
About the Role Kinetic Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join a well-established fire protection company in Wellington. This role sits within the installations team and offers consistent work, strong leadership, and long-term career stability. We are ideally looking for a technically skilled sprinkler technician who can hit the ground running. However, we are also open to experienced pipe installers or pipe runners who have a strong mechanical aptitude, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn the fire protection industry. Wellington-based candidates are strongly preferred due to the urgent nature of this hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire sprinkler systems across commercial and industrial sites
- Measure, cut, thread, and install pipework
- Read and interpret plans and drawings
- Install valves, pumps, and system components
- Conduct testing and commissioning of sprinkler systems
- Work closely with project managers and senior technicians
- Maintain high health and safety standards onsite
- Deliver quality workmanship and meet project deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Fire sprinkler installation experience highly preferred
- 3+ years pipe installation or fire protection experience ideal
- Ability to read and work from plans and drawings
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Site Safe and full driver’s licence preferred
- Wellington-based candidates strongly preferred
