School Transport Driver Opportunities

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference in your community? Become a SESTA Driver with Cross Country Rentals! Our team is expanding, and we are excited to be delivering SESTA services locally for the South Auckland community.

We are on the lookout for reliable drivers based in the wider Pukekohe / Franklin areas to join our Auckland team. We have permanent part-time roles commencing from April 2026 (School Term 2).

As a SESTA (Specialised School Transport Assistance) Driver, you’ll be a trusted part of our students’ daily journey, ensuring they get to and from school with reliable and safe transport.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Excellent Communication Skills – you must enjoy interacting with people and making their day easier.
• Fitness to work - be physically fit to assist SESTA students as needed.
• Patience and enthusiasm – a caring, patient attitude is key to ensuring a positive experience for the students you're transporting.
• Safe and confident driving, maintain a clean driving record and have held a full New Zealand driver's licence for at least 2 years.
• Able to pass a drivers medical check, police vetting, and drug & alcohol test.
• Passenger Endorsement: Not essential to have, but an added bonus! A passenger endorsement is a requirement for the role, and we can support you in obtaining one.
