Kinsman Potatoes Ltd have several vacancies for spud truck drivers for the upcoming potato harvest. We run a fleet of FH12 and FH16 Volvo trucks with modern double L V-bins that are double shifted carting spuds from paddocks in south and mid Canterbury into McCains in Washdyke over the harvest period.
Successful applicants for this role will have proven class 5 experience, understanding of HPMV requirements, can confidently reverse a 5 axle trailer (some training can be provided), confident operating a 58 tonne truck and trailer unit, geographical knowledge of Rural roads in mid Canterbury (or at least confident with google maps), ability to work unsupervised and keep to schedule.
Available roles include day shift starting between 7am and 9am and finishing between 2:30pm and 4:30pm, Night shift starting between 2:30pm and 4:30pm and finishing between 1am and 4:30am.
Also available is an Ashburton based position carting potatoes from the paddock to Talleys in an FH500 Globetrotter towing Talleys semi trailers. A day and a night shift position is available for this.
