Based in Hawke’s Bay, the heart of the East Coast farming community, we develop solutions specifically for the needs of New Zealand farmers with cattle, sheep and other livestock. We produce a full range of animal handling and management equipment. All of our products are designed in-house by experienced engineers. We supply New Zealand and farmers worldwide with quality animal handling equipment.
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and skilled Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team, who can also travel and stay away when needed. The role will involve local and national deliveries for Farmquip with the addition of work for our other companies within the construction industry combining truck driving with Hiab and crane operation lifting structure and other duties so you’ll experience variety in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe operation and driving heavy transport trucks.
- Load, unload, and transport materials efficiently.
- Travel – some jobs will require travel out of town with overnight stays.
- Follow company health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Current NZ Drivers Licence
- Class 5 Licence-truck and trailer operation
- Experience with Hiab and Crane Operation would be an advantage
- Experience operating other machinery preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the same or similar industry
- Flexibility for out-of-town work and overnight stays
- Physically fit
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication skills and a team player
- Must be a New Zealand resident
