About the job:
- Monday to Friday starting at 7am and finishing no later than 5pm.
- Saturday work during busy times (paid overtime)
- This role is based in Napier
You’ll be responsible for getting LPG cylinders out to homes and businesses across the area. You’ll meet customers face-to-face, answer questions, and help solve problems. Don’t worry—we’ll make sure you’re trained up and ready. Since the job involves handling hazardous materials, being detail-oriented and safety-conscious is key.
Other duties include:
- Completing vehicle safety checks
- Organising delivery runs
- Loading product onto the truck
- Delivering pre-filled LPG cylinders and taking away the empties
What’s in it for you?
- $30 per hour
- You’ll be paid weekly
- Assistance to obtain and maintain current Forklift and DG endorsement
- Uniform and PPE provided
What you need to be successful: You have a clean licence with at least 2 years Class 2 driving experience and can drive a manual transmission, along with:
- Previous experience delivering goods
- Be physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items when doing deliveries
- Dangerous Goods licence and LPG filling experience (or be willing to undergo training)
- Being flexible and adaptable with a strong focus on customer service
- Able to use handheld computer delivery equipment
- A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
- Satisfactorily pass background checks such as: Criminal & ACC history, medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Be a team player with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to meet the demands of the operation
MUST BE a NZ resident or hold a valid NZ work permit and be residing in the country.
