Class 2 Driver

• $28-$30 per hour
• Class 2 + DG endorsement required
• Ongoing, full-time hours (40+ per week)

EQUIP is seeking a reliable Class 2 DG Driver to support waste transport operations across the Wellington region and Manawatu / Whanganui.

This role involves transporting medical, clinical and biosecurity waste, requiring a strong understanding of Dangerous Goods procedures and a high level of safety awareness.

You'll be working across a range of controlled environments including hospitals, labs and aged care facilities, ensuring all collections are completed safely and compliantly.

Duties Include

• Operating a Class 2 vehicle on scheduled collection routes
• Transporting medical and hazardous waste safely
• Following Dangerous Goods protocols (documentation, placarding, load security)
• Completing run sheets and required paperwork
• Working safely across controlled and regulated sites

What We're Looking For

• Full Class 2 licence
• Current DG endorsement (essential)
• Understanding of DG handling and safety requirements
• Physically fit - able to handle bins and containers
• Reliable with strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good communication skills
