A hospital in Ashburton is seeking a Rural Hospital Doctor (RHD) for a short-term placement from 5–14 April 2026. The ideal candidate will be vocationally registered in Rural Health Medicine.
This role includes at least one on-call shift, followed by two days of post-acute ward rounds. Additional on-call shifts are available.
Accommodation can be provided if needed.
Ashburton is a large town located a short drive from Christchurch and is situated in the heart of the Canterbury Plains. Ashburton is the hub of the MidCanterbury’s, combining city facilities and vibrancy with smaller town friendliness. You’ll enjoy a nationally recognised art gallery andaviation museumand a relaxing laid-back country atmosphere.
