About Us You've probably seen our recognisable polar bear logo on trucks going from town to town across the country. Big Chill Distribution is a leader in the storage and express delivery of chilled and frozen products nationwide, with eleven depots strategically positioned throughout New Zealand.
About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Store Person to load and unload our clients' freight.
This is a fulltime role on our Night shift, Monday to Friday, with rostered Saturdays, based at our Hamilton depot.
What you'll be doing
- Assist with the loading/unloading of trucks
- Positioning pallets and sorting freight
- Checking line-haul units are operating at correct temperatures before opening doors to unload.
- Ensuring Health and Safety compliance – both personally and within the team
About You
- OSH approved, up-to-date Forklift License
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience operating a Forklift
- Experience in freight loading in temperature-controlled environments – advantageous
- Keen understanding of inventory management and cycle of order fulfilment
- Experience working in temperature-controlled environments - advantageous
