1992 Mercedes-Benz 260E

De-registered 1992 Mercedes-Benz.

Unfortunately the registration lapsed.

This vehicles automatic gearbox has failed. Mechanics checked out the fault and deemed it needed to be replaced with a second hand or reconditioned gearbox from ebay. Vehicles engine was running smooth and had reverse gear only, until the transmission selector was unplugged.

Other issues

The roof liner is sagging, center mirror fell off, front left indicator chipped, tiny rust spots on the boot lid/ grill, there is also a dent on the left front corner panel.

This rare straight six Mercedes-Benz has been stored in a garage most of its life and I beleive this German automobile would make for an excellent classic restore project or could be stripped down for loads of good parts.
