We dealt with 3 branches, Timaru, Gore & Dunedin looking at the same type of car & chasing up where the car was. At Timaru they lost the car key only to find it in the car 5-10mins later, the car was flat & needed a jumpstart, then petrol for a test drive. Car then needed another jumpstart at when getting petrol. (I could of told you this!) This branch was like Faulty Towers - & we wasted a lot of unnecessary time here mucking around. On our drive back to Dunedin we spotted a better buy at your Gore branch, we rang & the male sales manager couldn't find the car & said he would ring us on the Monday, needless to say that was the last time we heard from him!! That was after I said I would be like to come down first thing Monday morning & take for a test drive. On Monday morning I worked out what was going on, the car was being moved from Gore to Dunedin, as the car was now listed as being in Dunedin. So I jumped in my car mid-morning to see, the truck had already done drop-off's but not that car. After asking inside with sales mgr & being told he didn't & no way of knowing when the car was going to arrive I found this unacceptable. Finally 4 days later on the Thursday the car arrived in Dunedin from Gore. The customer service got a bit better from here, Norman did do some extentions. Overall I feel HVC you have some huge areas of improvements needed, some operational system upgrades for better customer service and overall communication & experience.
