Description

Situated in the Heart of the King Country, Central North Island. The rugged landscape known for its towering native forests, central plateau lakes and mountains of the Tongariro National Park. Set on over 3000 acres of private native forest ,our river cabin, unique in character and design is the ONLY riverside cabin on the remote headwaters of the Whanganui River. Access is by 4x4 vehicle only , I supply 4x4s for fishing trips only , This 15km trail, taking around 90 minutes travels through the old logging tracks of the pioneer days.

Trout fishing at the door step !!!!!! varying from large boulder rapids to deep slow moving pools, holding both rainbow & brown trout. For the experienced or novice angler, the fighting spirit of these mountain trout is considered second to none.

More of a complete " WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE " rather than just a place to stay . Try something different !!!! Birthdays, Anniversary , corporate break ups , cabins comfortably sleep 10 people. A great place to relax with family or a group of mates . Bring the quads , side by sides or horses there are lots of tracks to explore .

I was lucky to the spend the weekemd on the property and had the privilege of Danny running shot gun in my old land rover for the day while Danny Jnr showed us tracks both he and his father had cut. Do what ever you can do get on this property. You won't be disappointed. RayW.

I haven’t been for a couple of years and man do I miss it. Danny is fantastic, he helped me get my first and second deer as a new hunter. He taught me a lot. This is the real deal, a slice of paradise and Danny is a fantastic guy. If you can book a spot and get down there, look after the place and give it care and respect. We are all so lucky to have places like this. Thanks Danny.

What an amazing place! From the second you get there you're deep into nature, Danny is the man, shows you through the place and the lay of the land, what a truly amazing spot! We will be back for sure, Thanks again Danny!!

Been for a short stay at Danny's was great. he tracked down the deer for us really knows his stuff , will be staying for a lot longer and will be stopping and will be stopping at the cabin by the river 10 out 10,

An awesome weekend Danny,your bush knowledge and guideing is priceless.I highly reccomend this to all hunters.I learnt a lot from you .And to bag a deer and a few goats just tops the weekend.This was an experience I will never forget.And to hear a stag roar and bark for the first time was awesome.Hope to be back again soon. we had a great hunting trip danny is a great guide and a nice guy no stress here . we went with 3 of us the 17 yer old shot his first deer and he is still talking about it since he hadent even seen a deer in the wild before we went down . mi son shot a goat so has hi first goat and a set of hons. we will be booking another trip in the winter good on you danny see you next time graham.

Arrived on a cold day, to a warm cabin and our trip was excellent despite the inclement weather, Danny is a good guide and makes sure every body in the party gets the true bush experience suiting their capabilities, My wife says that this was the best trip I have taken her on. Heck where do I start, being met by the host with the fire going and a hot cuppa brilliant start. The knowledge of the bush, hunting and the local history was mind blowing. The scenery was second to none, and then to bag a couple of deer and have it dressed up "priceless" Cheers Danny your are a legend.....
