"On the Market" Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of these terms & conditions: On the Market giveaway (Giveaway) is run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me). By entering into the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not enter the Giveaway and you are not eligible to redeem the Prize. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Giveaway or the Prize at any time, without notice to you.

1. Eligibility: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who (i) are 18 years and over; and (ii) are legally entitled to carry out real estate agency work under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008; and (iii) have a valid and active Trade Me Property account.  Directors and staff of Trade Me, its related bodies corporate and any agencies or companies associated with Trade Me or the Giveaway are not eligible to enter.

2. Giveaway period: The Giveaway opens at 00:00 (NZDT), 25 August 2025 and closes at 11.59pm (NZDT), 30 September 2025 (Giveaway Period).

3. How to enter: To enter, you must submit a qualifying property or listing during the Giveaway Period (an Entry). You may only enter the Giveaway once (regardless of how many properties or listings you submit during the Giveaway Period). 

4. Prize: There will be one winner. The winner (Winner) will receive a Platinum Package (Prize) to apply to a listing of their choice. The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Trade Me’s terms and conditions will apply to the Prize and the Winner’s use of it. 

5. Winner notification and announcement: Trade Me will select a Winner at random. The Winner will be notified by their Trade Me Property Account Manager. Trade Me’s decision regarding Winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Publicity: Entrants agree that their name, photo and a description of their Prize (if applicable) may be published on Trade Me’s social media, within email marketing or on Trade Me’s websites.

7. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any entrant,  Winner or other person resulting or connected with the Giveaway or receipt or use of the Prize (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant, Winner or other person will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to the value of the Prize.

8. Other terms: The Trade Me terms and conditions and Property Account terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply with all necessary modifications to the Giveaway and (if relevant) the use of any Prize.

9. Privacy Act: Trade Me will collect and hold personal information in order to administer the Giveaway and provide our services in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. LinkedIn: The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn. Entrants release LinkedIn from any liability associated with the Giveaway or the Prize.
