ABOUT THE ROLE This New Zealand owned business is a well established technical services provider supporting critical infrastructure across multiple industries. Known for quality and innovation, they offer a collaborative and forward thinking environment. In this role you will manage end to end payroll while supporting the wider finance team. This is a hands on role offering great exposure across both payroll and accounting.

KEY DUTIES

• Manage end to end payroll for 250 staff across weekly and fortnightly cycles
• Process timesheets, commissions and employee changes
• Reconcile payroll, deductions and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with NZ payroll legislation and PAYE
• Support month end tasks including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Support audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Provide support across AP, AR and wider finance team
• Identify and drive process improvements
• Office management - ordering supplies etc

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of end to end payroll experience
• Strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can engage across all levels of the business
• Proactive, organised and solutions focused
