Operations Manager

• Is Agriculture your passion? We have an exciting opportunity for a proven Operations Manager to join an Agricultural Contracting and Transport company. This role requires a diverse skillset to help keep all aspects of the business running smoothly, harvesting and carting different agricultural crops right throughout the year with some breathing space during the winter. Our ideal person will need to have the ability to think on their feet, problem solve efficiently with a minimum of fuss and be able to maintain a cool demeanor in high pressure situations. Health and Safety compliance is a must, along with a focus on keeping our whole team safe on multiple sites while still maintaining productivity.
  Responsibilities include:
• Managing our core Agricultural services operation
• Engaging and helping develop our people
• Working within budgets
• Timely project delivery
• Helping build our company strategy
• Supporting the General Manager
• Working collaboratively to develop and grow sales
• Overseeing maintenance schedules and managing breakdowns Minimum requirements for the role:
• 4 years experience in a similar role managing 20+ staff
• Competent computer literacy & technical knowledge
• A proven record of calm in the eye of chaos
• Passion for all things agricultural
• Sound mechanical/maintenance knowledge
• Clear understanding of the Agricultural industry
• Practical, hands on skills that will allow you to work alongside our team This role comes with a very healthy salary, a vehicle, phone, and laptop.
