Employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations across New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand's port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our client's businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.
Based in Port Chalmers we require skilled Ship's Crane Operators, who have the flexibility to work out of port on occasion when required. The role involves operating cranes located on board logging vessels to assist with the loading of logs from the wharves into the ships hold.
We are looking for crane operators, preferably with previous log handling experience to join our close knit and high performing team. On offer are full time contracts with competitive remuneration. You must be flexible and prepared to work a range of 12-hour shifts as this is a 24/7 environment and subject to shipping schedules.
Essential requirements for these positions are:
- Experience operating ship's cranes
- A minimum full Class 1 licence
- Experience using a log grapple
- Good attention to detail
- A strong focus on Health and Safety
- A dedicated team player
