We’re searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive/Industrial Painter to join our dynamic workshop team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and have a passion for delivering high-quality results, we’d love to hear from you! Please note: This position begins in January 2026.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and panel beating services on a diverse range of vehicles and equipment. In addition, you’ll guide and oversee the prep team, contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-organised workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, sand, prime, seal, and finish surfaces ready for painting
- Carry out panel beating and body repairs as needed
- Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve desired standards
- Operate, maintain, and clean all paint equipment and tools
- Lead and support the prep team when needed
- Adhere to and uphold all health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workspace at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in Automotive/Industrial painting and/or panel beating
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-notch work
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a small team
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and safe work procedures
- A full NZ driver’s license (preferred)
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing and may require a medical assessment
