We're working alongside a well established civil contractor delivering a range of civil construction and infrastructure projects across the Northland region. With consistent work secured and more projects coming online, they're looking for an experienced Civil Drainlayer to join the team.

This role suits someone who knows their trade, understands civil site environments, and takes pride in installing drainage systems properly the first time. You'll be part of a professional crew where quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork are genuinely valued.

What you'll be doing

• Installing stormwater, wastewater, and subsoil drainage systems
• Laying pipes, setting levels, and ensuring correct fall and alignment
• Working from plans, drawings, and site specifications
• Assisting with trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement
• Working alongside operators, labourers, and supervisors
• Maintaining safe work practices around services and excavations
• Ensuring drainage work meets required standards and inspections

Required experience and tickets These are required and are a barrier to entry:

• Proven experience as a Drainlayer in civil construction
• Drainlaying registration or strong practical civil drainage experience
• ConstructSafe or Site Safe
• Full Class 1 Drivers License

Highly regarded:

• Experience on roading or subdivision projects
• Confined spaces or additional civil tickets
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings
