FLOORING & FINISHING TRADESPERSON - ANTARCTICA
Tilers | Carpet Installers | Plasterers | Painters
We are seeking multiple experienced Flooring and Finishing tradesperson for an 8‑week assignment in Antarctica, running from March to May. This project involves essential interior refurbishment work and requires skilled tradespeople capable of delivering high‑quality results in a remote environment.
- Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Demployment: March - May
Available Positions
* Tiler // Responsible for installing floor and wall tiles, including alignment, cutting, grouting, and securing tiles in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.
* Carpet Installer // Duties include subfloor preparation, cutting, laying, and securing carpet tiles, along with installing baseboards or trim as required.
* Plasterer // Apply plaster to ceilings and hallways, ensuring smooth, durable, and even finishes that meet project specifications.
* Painter // Prepare surfaces, apply primer and finish coats, and deliver a high‑quality, long‑lasting paint finish throughout interior spaces.
Requirements
- Proven experience in your trade (tiling, carpet installation, plastering, or painting)
- Ability to work to a high standard independently
- Must pass pre‑deployment medical checks
- Must hold a clean MOJ
- Physically fit and able to work in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to project specifications
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
