Precaster (Skilled Concrete Precaster)

About The Role: We are seeking for Skilled Concrete Precaster to join our team in our factory in Hastings, Hawke's Bay. This is a great opportunity for experienced Precasters to continue delivering high-quality work within the concrete industry.

Your Responsibilities: You will be primarily responsible for:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Formwork methodologies for many varying types of formworks.
• Understanding the many forms of threaded connections and fixings.
• Accurate with dimensions.
• Good understanding of concrete reinforcements, placement, cover required, tying methods, support methods, lap joints, types and diameters.
• An understanding of Quality Control.
• Concrete pouring, screeding, floating, trowel finishing (hand and machine).
• A good understanding of the reasons for vibrating concrete.
• Knowledge of concrete tool maintenance (hand and machine).
• Measure, cut and assemble materials as required for construction.

Yours Skills & Experience: To be eligible for this role, candidates must have:

• At least 3-4 years of relevant concrete construction experience OR
• Tertiary qualification in concrete construction

Additional Attributes:

• Good understanding of construction site safety
• Reliable, physically fit and committed to long-term employment

• Hours: minimum 40 hours/week (Mon-Fri), depending on project demands.
• Pay Rate: $28-32/hour, based on skills and experience
• Full time Permanent role
