Civil General Labourer

About The Role: This role is primarily responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations on a range of civil projects. The role includes working in a team environment, being supervised, dependent on the scope of the project you are assigned to. 

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform various manual tasks such as digging, loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Assist with or complete site set out duties as instructed by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
• Operate basic hand tools and power equipment under the guidance of experienced operators.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to project specifications and quality standards.

Yours Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or a related field is preferred, but not essential.

• Valid NZ driver's license
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced personnel.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in civil construction.
• Applicants for the position will need to be legally allowed to work in NZ.

Job Details

• Location: Hastings (Hawkes Bay)
• Hours: minimum 40 hours/week (Mon-Fri), depending on project demands.
• Travel will be required.
• Pay Rate: $25-30/hour, based on skills and experience
• Full time Permanent role
