Description
You will be responsible for managing sites from start to finish, coordinating all subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Location: Auckland (with travel & relocation across New Zealand)Project Type: Small to Mid-Scale Interior / Retail Store Builds
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations
- Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors and trades on site
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programmes
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, site compliance, and documentation
- Monitor project timelines and proactively resolve issues or delays
- Conduct site meetings and liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients
- Ensure quality control across all aspects of the build, particularly interior finishes
- Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries
- Complete site reporting and progress updates as required
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Supervisor
- Strong background in interior construction and building fit-outs
- Experience managing small to mid-scale commercial or retail sites
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors effectively
- Solid understanding of NZ building practices, standards, and regulations
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different locations and site conditions
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel and relocate across New Zealand for project work
- Full NZ driver's license
- Relevant trade qualification or construction management experience preferred
- Strong commitment to health & safety on site
