Drainlayer – Large Diameter Concrete & Manholes.
We are seeking an experienced Civil Drainlayer with proven experience in large diameter concrete pipe installation and precast manhole construction. This is infrastructure work, not residential plumbing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and large diameter stormwater / wastewater lines
- Preparing and trimming pipe bedding to correct grade
- Setting and checking line and level using pipe lasers
- Installing rubber ring joints and ensuring correct alignment
- Construction and installation of precast concrete manholes
- Benching and channeling of manholes to specification
- Installing drop connections and laterals
- Adjusting lids and frames to final surface levels
- Working to engineering drawings and council standards
- Coordinating with excavator operators and crane lifts
- Maintaining safe trench work practices (shoring, battering, shields)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in civil drainage (225mm-1200mm)
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings
- Confident working in deep excavations
- Strong understanding of line, level and fall requirements
- Current Site Safe (Civil preferred)
- WTR endorsements advantageous

This role is suited to candidates with subdivision or infrastructure project experience. It is not a residential plumbing position!
