Entry-level road marking role in Wellington with full training, great team culture and career progression in civil construction!

Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Join our Wellington Road Marking team as an Assistant and start building a long-term career in the roading industry.

In this role, you'll learn how to carry out road marking installation and maintenance work across highways, arterial roads and local streets while being trained by experienced operators.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting the crew with day-to-day road marking work
  • Setting up safe work sites and traffic management zones
  • Learning how to operate road marking equipment and vehicles
  • Working outdoors across different sites and environments
  • Occasional night and weekend work during busy periods

This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to learn a trade, enjoys physical outdoor work, and wants a clear career pathway in civil construction.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills

  • Full Class 1 NZ driver's licence (or working towards it)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable with physical outdoor work
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends when required
