Formwork Carpenter

About the Role

There is a strong need for formwork carpenters across maintenance works in wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and generator facilities. These roles are immediate and involve working alongside concrete placers on-site. Individuals must be able to deliver efficiently and maintain productivity as deadlines are being pushed through.

Duties will include

• Carry out formwork construction, setting out, boxing and stripping for concrete works
• Work alongside concrete placers on-site to support pours and finishing
• Perform repairs and reinstatement works on existing structures (tanks, slabs, accessways)
• Assist with site preparation including measuring, cutting, cleaning and prepping formwork materials
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and productivity to meet tight maintenance deadlines

Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years formwork carpentry experience in civil or infrastructure projects
• Experience working around live infrastructure (pump stations, treatment plants)
• Strong understanding of formwork systems, setting out, boxing, and stripping concrete structures
• Understanding of H&S requirements in these environments

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Physically fit
• Site Safe or ConstructSafe
• Class 1 driver's licence and able to drive a manual vehicle (trucks)
