Reliable Road Inspection Assistant / Spotter Wanted - Taupō We're looking for a safety-focused and dependable Spotter / Assistant to support a Road Inspector across the Taupō area. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role offering steady work for someone who enjoys being on the road, working outdoors, and contributing to safe infrastructure inspections.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Accompany the Road Inspector in a company vehicle during road inspections
- Spot safely for the Road Inspector when they are outside the vehicle
- Act as Pilot Driver where required
- Be constantly aware of traffic and road conditions to ensure safety
- Ensure it is safe for the Inspector to exit and work on the roadway
- Load and log inspection jobs accurately
- Complete basic data entry and job recording
- Drive a Class 1 vehicle in line with safe driving practices at all times
- Follow all health and safety procedures on the road
What You Need:
- NZ Full Driver Licence (minimum requirement)
- Confidence working around live traffic environments
- Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities
- Good communication skills and ability to work closely with an Inspector
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work
- Ability to work full time, Monday to Friday
