Quantity Surveyor

In this role you will see the overall reporting on the financial health of all allocated and active projects on a regular basis. You will contribute as a senior member of the business, being able to provide proactive and constructive feedback and comments in a confident manner on topics as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Tracking Budget against actual costs including Labour, Materials, and Subcontractors
• Variations progress
• Progress Claims and Cash Flow
• Accurate reporting of timeframes in order for WIP to be calculated monthly.
• Costs to Complete and Final Account forecasting
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and contingencies
• Identify and disclose discrepancies and omissions as quickly as possible and formulate strategy to minimise cost implications
• Close-out and back-cost all completed projects
• Various other tasks as required within the business

You will be / have:

• Previous quantity surveying and estimating experience gained from within NZ
• Possess a relevant tertiary qualification
• Have excellent time management skills
• Good construction understanding and awareness
• Good financial management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
