Construction and Technical Recruitment are working with busy construction company who are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a range of new build commercial and interiors projects across Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty region. This is a hands-on, site-based role with opportunities to work on diverse projects and build strong regional experience.
The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to high-quality standards. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and liaise with clients and consultants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing construction projects from site setup to completion
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Ensuring health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Monitoring project budgets, schedules, and resources
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Reporting project progress to senior management
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in commercial new build or interior fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety, and quality systems
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage subcontractors, and solve site issues proactively
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the Tauranga / Bay of Plenty region is highly desirable
