Civil Foreman

Civil Foreman We’re looking for an experienced Civil Foreman for ongoing work in the Canterbury region. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be leading small crews on civil jobs, while still jumping on the tools when needed.

The work will mainly involve trenching and installation of drainage, water, and power services, along with general civil works.

It’ll suit someone who’s either:

• An experienced operator ready to step into a foreman role, or
• A current foreman who still likes being actively involved on site

What you’ll be doing: You’ll be running crews on site, helping deliver day-to-day works, and keeping things moving. This includes:

• Leading small teams on civil utility projects
• Trenching and installing drainage, water, and power services
• Operating excavators, trucks, and loaders when required
• Working across road corridors, council work, and private sites
• Coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and other contractors
• Keeping site safety, quality, and productivity on point
• Helping with planning, setup, and solving problems as they come up

What we’re looking for:

You’ll need to be someone who’s been around civil sites and is confident leading from the front. Ideally you’ll have experience in utilities and trenching work.

• Experience in drainage, water, power, and general civil works
• Able to operate excavators (1.7t–20t) and other plant
• WTR required, Class 2 or 4 preferred
• Good understanding of site safety and service plans
• Reliable, practical, and able to lead a crew
