Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) – Auckland | Long-Term Roles
Location: HQ in East Tamaki (work across Auckland) Pay Rate: Based on experience Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (AM or PM shifts; hours vary depending on project)
Immediate Requirements – Please Read Before Applying STMS certificate – must be practicing (not NP) CAT C preferred, CAT A acceptable Class 2 NZ Driver Licence – essential Minimum 2 years’ experience in traffic management supervision Valid references from previous employers Clean driving record Able to start ASAP and pass MOJ & drug/alcohol checks Only applicants meeting these requirements will be considered.
About the Role We’re looking for experienced Site Traffic Management Supervisors to manage and oversee traffic management operations on projects across Auckland. You’ll work on a variety of Tier 1 civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency on site.
This is a long-term role with the potential to go permanent for reliable and committed candidates.
Key Responsibilities Plan, set up, and supervise Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) sites (cones, signs, barriers) Ensure compliance with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and safety standards Supervise traffic management crews and allocate tasks Conduct site inductions, safety checks, and maintain accurate documentation Respond to live traffic situations and make risk-based decisions Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure smooth operations
What You’ll Bring Practicing STMS certificate CAT C (preferred) or CAT A Class 2 licence – essential Strong traffic management knowledge and supervisory skills Reliable, professional, and safety-focused Able to work across Auckland and flexible with hours Clean driving record and legal working rights in NZ
