As a Downer Traffic Controller, you will assist with Temporary Traffic Management under the direction of a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS). Ultimately you will work to ensure the safety of your crew and the public through clear and accurate direction of traffic. It also requires:

• Proven experience in temporary traffic management, with a strong and consistent track record in on-road delivery.
• Sound understanding of CoPTTM and NZGTTM, including the ability to apply practical TTM solutions on live worksites.
• Proficiency in identifying and managing site hazards, conducting pre-start checks, and implementing control measures.
• A confident and professional communicator with the public, team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you.

• Class 1 full licence required, preferably Class 2 Licence
• Construct Safe Accredited
• TTM Unit Standards - 31958, 31959 & 31960 or has a valid TMO Practicing NZTA Warrant
• First Aid Certification
• Comfortable using mobile devices or tablets for daily reporting or job management systems.
• Be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
