Description

Job Title: Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) based in central Kaitaia, Northland.

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Senior Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our dynamic team. As an STMS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic management operations across various construction and maintenance projects. Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management plans in compliance with local and national regulations. - Supervise and manage traffic management crews to ensure safety standards are met and maintained. - Coordinate with project managers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. - Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance and address any issues proactively. - Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth. - Maintain accurate and timely records of traffic management activities and incidents. - Lead safety meetings and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications - STMS qualification is required. - Valid Class 2 driver's license. - Proven experience as a Senior Traffic Management Supervisor or similar role. - Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure. - Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.

Day-to-Day - Begin each day with a team briefing to discuss daily objectives and safety protocols, Monday to Friday. - Develop and review traffic management plans tailored to specific project requirements. - Supervise traffic management set-up and ensure all equipment is properly deployed. - Conduct site inspections and assess traffic flow, making immediate adjustments as needed. - Engage with project managers and local authorities to align on project goals and timelines. - Mentor junior staff through on-the-job training sessions and provide constructive feedback. - End the day with a debriefing session to review accomplishments, challenges, and areas for improvement.
