AWF are working with established contractors across the Wellington region and are looking for reliable STMS professionals who set the standard on site.

Roles Available

We're keen to hear from:

• Qualified STMS across civil, roading, and infrastructure projects
• Qualified STMS who are confident leading crews, managing live traffic environments, and maintaining compliance
• Qualified STMS who can also jump in to support general site duties when required

What You'll Be Doing

• Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining TMPs in line with site requirements
• Completing site set-up and pack-down including signage, cones, barriers, and equipment checks
• Running pre-starts/toolboxes and ensuring the crew understands the traffic plan and controls
• Managing traffic flows safely around workers, plant, and the public
• Completing site documentation (as required), reporting issues, and escalating risks early
• Liaising professionally with site supervisors, clients, and the public when needed
• Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring standards are met consistently

What You Need

• Current STMS qualification
• Solid understanding of traffic management and safe work practices on active sites
• A calm, clear communication style and confidence leading on-site decisions
• Reliability, strong situational awareness, and a professional approach
• Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 is a bonus)
• Ability to pass standard pre-employment checks
