SALES SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Gilmours North Shore is a locally owned food and beverage wholesaler supplying to hospitality and related industries throughout Auckland's North Shore region.

We are seeking a tenacious Sales Support Assistant to join our growing business! As part of an established and successful team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Sales Team.

This role is essential in ensuring seamless communication between departments, addressing queries from customers and providing prompt solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your customer base, handling all queries promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Complete Out of Stocks to our customers first thing in the morning with a resolution and a personal aspect.
  • Communicate Sales Team queries to relevant team leaders.
  • Organizing customer Standing orders.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Customer Service, Service, Accounts, Buying) to enhance customer experience.
  • Coordinate and manage Salesforce cases, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage price lists for the Sales Team along with price queries.
  • Act as the link between customers, sales, and service, coordinating updates and addressing issues.
  • Have a close working relationship with the in-store Customer Service Team.

Our ideal candidate will bring to the team:

  • A "customer comes first" attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and reliability.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint (some experience with SAP and Salesforce would also be great).  
  • Foodservice sales experience is beneficial but not essential for the right person.
  • A passion for food and commercial food solutions.
  • A Team player.
