We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Unregistered Early Childhood Teacher to join our warm and supportive teaching team.
You will play an important role in supporting quality education and care for our tamariki, working collaboratively with registered teachers to deliver a rich, inclusive, and engaging learning programme aligned with Te Whāriki.

About the Role – Mō te Tūranga
As an unregistered teacher, you will work alongside qualified kaiako to support children’s learning and wellbeing throughout the day.
You’ll be involved in routines, play-based learning, and building meaningful relationships with tamariki and their whānau.
This is a full-time role – 40 hours per week, working rostered shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of a high-quality early childhood programme
- Build warm, respectful relationships with tamariki and whānau
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
- Assist with routines, learning experiences, and documentation
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Follow centre policies and health & safety practices

- A team-focused and proactive attitude
- A genuine love for working with tamariki
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, reliable, and reflective approach
- Alignment with our values and commitment to tamariki wellbeing
- Willingness to learn about Te Whāriki, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Educare’s vision
- We value respectful relationships and kaiako who can build strong connections with tamariki, whānau, and their team.
