Chelsea House Levin is looking for an inspiring and experienced Qualified and Registered Teacher to step into the role of Head Teacher in our Kauri room, supporting our curious and capable 4-5 year olds. We have 4 age appropriate classrooms allowing for our teaching environments to be more specific to children's ages and abilities.
About the Role
This is a 1 year fixed-term, full-time (38 hours, Monday–Friday) leadership position, starting in July. Our Kauri room supports tamariki as they develop communication skills, build relationships, and grow their confidence as lifelong learners. They are also preparing for the next step in their learning journey - School! You'll lead a passionate team of Kaiako who are committed to providing a quality learning environment for all children filled with love and laughter, imagination and exploration.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a natural leader with proven ECE leadership experience and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. You will bring:
*BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification *Strong knowledge of programme planning, assessment, and pedagogy *A deep understanding of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations *A commitment to quality practice and continuous improvement *The ability to inspire, guide, and support kaiako *The confident to work with outside agencies to support neuro-diverse learners
Although this is a fixed term position there is the potential for this to become a permanent position elsewhere within our Centre.
